On my left is French singer Eugénie Alquezar, with a volcanic temperament she’s a sometime actress and co-founder of the booking agency Hot Pants Productions. On my right is American guitarist Peter K, full of gripping ideas and a Paris expat for several years now. Together they are Parlor Snakes, a his-and-her rock duo following in the footsteps of The Kills, The Cramps, and The Raveonettes. Uncompromisingly nocturnal, deliberately sensual, they give their all during their breakneck frenzied live performances, setting the crowd on fire, holding nothing back. To prepare yourself for one of their concerts you can dive into the albums that punctuate their discography, most notably the feverish Disaster Serenades (2019).
