In 2020, the guys from Glauque released their debut eponymous EP and just like that, their career was launched. This collective from Namur in Belgium seemingly came out of nowhere and it’s probably for the best: the element of surprise has significantly contributed to their success. To categorise their music, we can name two of their acknowledged influences, Odezenne and Moderat, on the one hand eclectic disillusioned rap and on the other savvy powerful electro. Armed with these complementary interests and a comfortable stage presence, the group makes its own rules, singing in French where their existential questions clash with a certain dystopia. For three years Glauque have been single-minded and uncompromising, with a radicalism that suits them perfectly.
