Unstoppable beats, abrasive synths and an imminent urge to let rip: welcome to the world of Bracco, the Parisian duo making incursions into the French capital’s dark wave scene. Signed to the irreproachable indie label Born Bad, Baptiste and Loren have already released their second album, Dromonia, written while in residence at La Station – Gare des Mines, recorded at the La Seine studio before finally being released at the end of last year. Mid-way between throbbing post-punk and dark techno, their studio music makes a grab for you just like their live offerings, with Loren on synths and every other kind of music-making machine, and Baptiste on vocals and guitar. They make no bones about their love for DAF, Suicide, Throbbing Gristle and Psychic TV, Bracco is clamouring to take its place among the sinuous branches of this family tree.
