Supergroups are short or long term bands made up of artists who are already famous. There can be no doubt that Boygenius is a supergroup consisting three musical geniuses, listed here in alphabetical order so as to avoid any type of ranking: Julien Baker, Phoebe Bridgers and Lucy Dacus. Preferring sisterhood to rivalry, this leaderless trio came together five years ago after forging a friendship through touring together. Alongside this group project, whose debut EP and first album were released in 2018 and 2023, each artist continues their solo career. These gifted Americans are all from the same generation, aged 27 to 28, and are some of the most incredible artists of the current rock scene.
